Coach Kyle was a 24-time All-American in swimming while obtaining his
B.A. in communication studies at West Chester University. He was
the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Rookie of the Year
in 2000. He holds the school record in the 200-yard butterfly. In
1997, Coach Kyle was the PIAA state champion in the 100-yard butterfly.
He was also an All-American swimmer in high school. He currently holds many records at Northeastern High School in Manchester, PA.
Before coming to Millersville, Coach Kyle was an assistant coach at Widener
University from 2003-2004 and was also an assistant at the Trident
swim club, where he primarily worked with the distance group and guided
several of the swimmers to both senior nationals and Olympic trial times.
He also coached at an independent high school in York, Pa. where he
coached an All-American in the 500 freestyle in 2005. Since becoming head coach of Millersville, he has led the Marauders to consecutive winning seasons, including the first ever undefeated season in 2007. He is a resident of Millersville with his wife, Coach Jillian.
Coach Kyle is a member of the American Swim Coaches Association and the College Swimming Coaches Association of America.
Gold/HS Group Coach: Amy Curry

Coach Amy served as the Assistant Coach of the Millersville University Women's Swim Team in 2007-2008. Prior to coming to Millersville she was the assistant coach for the Swampscott, Mass., high school co-ed swimming and diving team for the last three years. During her tenure at Swampscott, the Big Blue took first place in the conference for the girl's team, and, this past year, took second overall.
She successfully completed her 16-year swimming career at Penn State as a member of the Lady Lion swim team. She was a full scholarship athlete and a varsity scholar all four years. A Recreation and Park Management major, she minored in Forestry, and maintained an overall grade point average of 3.48. She graduated with honors and a member of Golden Key National and Penn State College of Health and Human Development Honor Societies.
Coach Amy was a Senior National Qualifier in the 100-meter backstroke, a junior national qualifier in the 200-meter backstroke, and was a member of a Junior National record-breaking 400-meter medley relay team. She represented Bernal's Gator Swim Club at U.S. Senior and Junior Nationals, U.S. Open, All-American Championships, and Santa Clara International Invitational. She maintained a National Age Group (NAG) Top 16 ranking in both the 100 and 200 backstroke and 400 Individual Medley from 1990-1994.

Gold/HS Group Coach: Katie McNerney

Coach Katie is the current assistant women's swim coach for Millersville University. Prior to that she coached several years at the high school level at Villa Maria Academy
in Erie, Pa. She lead the team to 3 back to back district titles and produced multiple state qualifiers and All Americans. She also coached a local
YMCA team and has coached numerous age group and learn to swim
sessions.
As an athlete, she was an All American for Clarion
University. She was a member of the 3rd ranked 200 free relay at Nationals
and was a national qualifier in the 50 and 100 free. Prior to that, she
swam for Villa Maria Academy, where she held numerous school records,
qualified for States in every event she swam, and was a member of several
top state ranked relays. She also swam for the Erie Club team.
Katie graduated from Clarion with a BA in psychology and a minor in coaching. She
enjoys all aspects of training both in and out of the water and believes
strongly in the mind's ability to control outcomes.
Beginner/Novice Group Coach: Jillian Almoney

Coach Jillian (Beck) Almoney comes from a swimming family and has been involved in the sport since
joining Woodridge Swim Team at age 5. She swam there until age 18 and
was a record holder. She also was a district qualifier for the
Lancaster YMCA and swam for other winter clubs in the county as well.
She was a 4 year letter winner, team captain, and Academic All-American
for Hempfield High School's swim team, where she swam for her dad, Steve Beck. She graduated magna cum laude
with a B.S. in elementary education/history concentration from East
Stroudsburg University in 2006, and also holds certifications in family and consumer science and middle school mathematics. While at ESU, she competed all 4 years for the
Warriors and was a PSAC Scholar Athlete, Athletic Director's Honor
Roll, and Dean's list recipient every year.
Jillian has been coaching since 2003, and her experience
includes coaching summer league at Woodridge, Golden Meadows (head coach), and Manheim, and is the current head coach of the Conestoga summer swim team. Before coming to Marauder, she coached for two years each at
Lancaster Aquatic Club and at the Lancaster YMCA. While at the Y, she
coached many District, State, and National meet qualifiers. She has also assisted at Hempfield High
School, where she coached district and state champions. She has been at Marauder since 2008. In addition to
coaching, she has taught swim lessons for 12+ years and helps run the swim lesson program at MU. She has a degree in elementary education, middle school math, and family and consumer science, and is currently on the hunt for a teaching job. She believes in teaching young swimmers to love the sport of swimming, while having a foundation of great technique that will benefit them throughout their swimming career.
Coach Jillian is the head coach for the Beginner and Novice groups, and occasionally helps with the other groups.

Assistant Coach: Wendy Blake

Coach Wendy has been involved in swimming for many years. She swam for the Millersville Sea Lions Swim Team and won the Bill Brandt Award. She graduated from Penn Manor High School and holds a BA in Communications from West Chester University. She was the Head Coach at Lancaster Country Club for 4 years, was an assistant coach at Penn Manor High School for 2 years, an assistant coach at the Lancaster Family YMCA for 4 years and has been the head coach for the Millersville Sea Lions Swim Team for several years. In 2009 she coached the Millersville Sea Lions team to an undefeated summer season and won the Division III Dual Meet title. She loves to coach and wants the swimmers to know much more about swimming when they leave the program than when they began.
Coach Wendy works mainly with the Beginner and Novice groups.Black Group Coach: Rebecca Laufer

Coach Becca graduated from Hempfield High School and is currently a Communications Broadcasting major at Millersville in her senior year. At Hempfield she was a varsity swimmer and district qualifier for all four years. She has been a varsity letter winner and PSAC qualifier her first two years at Millersville. Her coaching experience includes six years as an instructor with Swim America and four years as an Assistant Coach with the Mountville Swim Team.
Assistant Coach: Hannah Coligan

Hannah is a graduate of Central York High School and a freshman at Millersville majoring in Secondary Education with a concentration in Social Studies. She was captain of her high school swim team. Besides coaching at Marauder, she is a swim instructor at Central York Aquatic Club.
Coach Hannah works with the Beginner and Novice groups.

Assistant Coach: Vicky DeTample

Vicky is from Yardley Pa, and graduated from Pennsbury High School in 2008. She started to swim in third grade with the Pennsbury Aquatic Club (PAC). She swam varsity on the high school team and qualified for PIAA AAA districts in the 200 and 500 yard freestyle. In the summer she swam for Morrisville swim team
then moved to Brookside Swim team which was part of the Lower Bucks Swim League. This is her third year swimming for Millersville and swims
only freestyle events. She is a senior at Millersville, majoring in Secondary education- Earth Science and getting a minor in sociology. She also is an assistant coach for the Conestoga Swim Team in the summer.
Coach Vicky works with the Beginner, Novice, and Black groups.
